Periodicals include items published on a regular basis such as journals, magazines, newspapers, and newsletters.

If each issue of a journal begins on page 1, give the issue number in parentheses immediately after the volume number:

Author, A A, Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, X(x), pp-pp.

If each issue of a magazine does not start on page 1 (omit the issue number):

Author, A A, Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, X, pp-pp.

Include the digital object identifier (DOl) in the reference:

If no DOl is assigned to the content and you retrieved it online, include the home page URL for the journal, newsletter, or magazine in the reference (no retrieval date is needed):
